-- Business Manager:
We are seeking a person who has the education and experience in normal business office operations, coordinating staff responsibilities, and overseeing the business and activities pertinent to the governance and organization of a catholic church with 3,000 families and 10,000 parishioners. Our parish has a Bookkeeper to work with the financial transactions. The Business Manager would work in conjunction with the Bookkeeper to communicate with our vendors, our parish groups and other aspects of the finances for the parish. 

POSITION: Parish Business Manager, Full-time



The parish business manager must be a well-organized professional who will work closely with the pastors and the staff, as well as with parish volunteers and outside contractors. Responsibilities include overseeing the parish office and staff, the maintenance of the facilities, the office computers and networks, the parish website, and the use of the facilities, including rentals. The parish business manager also works with the offices of the Archdiocese of Omaha.


1. Advise pastor as requested.

2. Supervise clerical and custodial personnel.

3. Develop and maintain accurate and timely demographic information.

4. Establish and oversee parish internal controls and financial due diligence.

5. Work with staff to budget/facilitate/plan for short-term/long-term financial requirements of parish.


- Mature, practiced verbal and written communication skills.

- Organized, self-motivated, able to lead.

- Experienced user of mainstream software (MS Office Suite, including Publisher).

- Working knowledge of the faith of the Catholic Church.

- Ability to communicate in Spanish is beneficial.


- Minimally, 3-5 years of progressive and relevant business management experience and applicable college course work/degree.

- Minimally, 3 years of managerial experience, overseeing personnel and facilities.

- Prefer a college degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.

- Working knowledge of double-entry accounting, adjusting entries, and general journal entries a plus.

-- Maintenance / Custodian:
We are hiring is for a full-time maintenance and custodial person. The basic job description would be to have knowledge of mechanical and building systems to repair broken things, to improve upon existing things, and to do preventative maintenance on the great variety of items associated with our facilities. The job description includes some custodial work of indoor rooms as well as outdoor cleaning, such as summer yard work and winter snow removal. 

POSITION: Maintenance Technician / Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Pastor / Business Manager



Ensures the optimal functioning of building systems and parish campuses. Identifies, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains facilities on 3 locations. 3-4 years of experience in commercial property management is important. Expected to work scheduled hours which include on-call, evenings and weekends.


1. Maintain buildings, equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC units and other equipment on the parish campuses.

2. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance and plan for and do scheduled maintenance.

3. Perform all maintenance when possible, otherwise, supervise work of outside contractors.

4. Coordinate work orders and ensure completion of all responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.

5. Perform snow removal, including shoveling, running snow blowers and applying salt.

6. Keep the campuses litter free.

7. Keep equipment rooms, inventory stocks and other workrooms clean and well-maintained.

8. Follow all safety practices and procedures, especially when involving chemicals and power equipment.

9. Maintain a professional appearance, reliable attendance and high attention to detail.

10. Ensure all facilities are cleaned and sanitary.


1. Must be at least 25 years of age.

2. Three to four years of experience in commercial building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

3. Strong knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance and maintenance equipment.

4. Strong knowledge of chemicals, supplies and equipment

5. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.

6. Knowledge of outdoor maintenance including building, roofing, grounds and general property management.

7. Organizational skills and work flow experience to manage day-to-day tasks.

8. Basis computer skills.

9. Ability to follow policy and safety guidelines.

10. Flexibility in responding to day-to-day work requirements and a varied work schedule.

11. Current and valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
